Masters of Applied Nutrition, Registered Dietitian
As a registered dietitian specializing in eating disorders and disordered eating, my goals are to help you:
- Increase awareness of hunger and fullness cues so that you can choose a food routine that is right for you
- Normalize eating patterns and increase flexibility with food choices so that you can rediscover the joy of food
- Ensure nutrient and energy needs are met so that you can feel your best
During the initial appointment, we will discuss your personal goals regarding food, symptoms and struggles that you’ve been having, as well as questions and concerns that you have regarding feeding and fueling your body. I will ask you to walk me through a typical day including when you wake up, what you eat and drink during the day, and anything that you notice regarding your energy levels, hunger, and mood. From there we will work together to develop a plan.
In addition to seeing clients on a one-to-one basis at The Wellness Collaborative, I work at Student Health Services at the University of Guelph where I see students for one-to-one nutrition counselling. I also work with the Wellness Education Centre to develop and facilitate health and wellness programming on campus and I sit on the Waterloo Wellington Eating Disorders Coalition, where we aim to provide education and awareness around eating disorders and body image issues.
To schedule an appointment, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Our first appointment will be approximately one hour in length and $90. Subsequent appointments will be 40 minutes in length and $70. Fees are payable at the time of the appointment, by cash, email money transfer, or personal cheque. Some individuals may have coverage for appointments with a registered dietitian. It is recommended that you contact your insurance provider prior to our first appointment.
